I am not what you would call a serious member here, but I find these FRIEND and FOE buttons very interesting.

I read a thread started by madnessinmysoul, and agreed with what he was saying so just clicked on FRIEND to give it a test.

madnessinmysoul has started a number of threads, all of which I agree with, but not only do I like what he is saying, I felt inspired.

Since then, I've tagged a few people as FOE, but I've been working on them, and I think I'm about to switch my second person from FOE to FRIEND.

I like how this works. Maybe it's not just me.

Well, I've been here nearly 3 years and only got round to doing my Friend + Foe's today!

I too like the idea though. Also, I like the whole profile thing. Going to work on that this afternoon if my real job doesn't tie me down!

Online Social Networking Comes To AboveTopSecret.com

As you begin to spend more time on our boards, you will run into members that you agree with, and disagree with. You will run into members that you respect, and members that you need to try harder to respect. While our "Friends" may be members whom we get along with and have respect for, our "Foes" are certainly not members we don't like. A "Foe", in my opinion, is just as big of a sign as respect as the "Friend" option, if not more. It is quite easy to respect a member we agree with, but to respect a member we disagree with. That is saying a lot about the two of you.

I think this is a great tool for our members, and it is a way of getting to know one another better. I tend to click on a few new profiles a day, just to get a better understanding of who the individual is.

Behind each member is a person. The new Social Networking opportunities with ATS are a means of coming out from behind the curtain and showing others a little bit of who we are.

When I saw that I was on your FOE list, I thought I had done something to tick you off. But then I saw how many FOE's are on your list.

Something does bother me though. People I don't know at all, but clearly have views opposed to mine, are making me their friends. That's a bit creepy.

Don't let that bother you. Maybe they just think you are kind.

It's no big deal, just ignore if you don't like it and just post.

He "FOED" me, but I added WolfofWar as a friend, this will hopefully THROW HIM OFF and he won't suspect me! Muhahahhaha!

Friend and Foe, that's fine, but there needs to be another category for some here. The kindest word I can think of is "nuisance".

Since you added me to your foe list WITHOUT reason .....I added you to my "ignore" list for no reason.

I had a question about this friend/foe list.
What shall I do if say I put someone on my friends list because I initially thought he was pretty cool but now have decided that he is not the type of person that I would consider a friend and would like to remove him.
Is this possible?

thanks in advance
