Forestlady your bigoted preaching against all conservatives is tiresome, redundant and outright ignorant.

The French conservative party is going to win this election.. because Socialism destroyed France.

Its down the the conservative and Socialist party.

Oh, I mean "neocon"

Liberals: Embracing hypocritical ignorance.

And I find YOUR bigotry against an entire group tiresome, redundant, etc. You just keep repeating the same tired arguments and not addressing the topic of this thread. Where did I preach against conservatives? If you look back thru my posts, I have many times expressed admiration for Barry Goldwater and his ilk and he was a Republican. I have never stated taht conservatives are bad or anything else as a group. It's a group made up of individuals with different viewpoints, just like any other group, you can't just make blanket statements about any group.
And I don't have a problem with conservatives, it's the neocons and I think they are very radical, anything but conservative. If you notice, I will rail against INDIVIDUALS but not an entire group of people. I hate bigotry.

And that's my point, I don't think it would be a good thing for France to have a neocon president, neocon policies haven't worked, even the neocons themselves admit that.

That's YOUR problem. If you don't want to hear people with views that are different than yours ... get off the chat forums.

It's not that I don't want to hear people with different views. That's why I'm here. What I object to is your hatefilled, one-sided, bigoted attitude towards a group of people you don't even know and to your mode of attack rather than debate.

I prefer to debate with someone and you're not debating, you're just spreading bigotry and spewing invective towards France and now towards me. Attacking isn't debating. Now I'm done arguing with you. I don't want to derail the thread or kill it. My apologies to the OP for not adhering more to the topic.

Sorry to butt in with the obvious but if the above is true shouldnt you just ignore the reposonses? It cant come as a shock that it takes two to keep posts like that going and going and going and going and......

Until pages go by and not one post reflects the topic even remotely.

This seems to be a common occurence around here. Two or people get caught up in petty name calling and pointless cycles of justifying their own pointless responses to pointless things.

If this guy wants to, as you said, posts hateful things about a group then so be it. If you respond to every post you claim isnt worth responding to youve suddenly doubled the amount noise posts.

An unsubstantiated need to "have the last word" shared by two or more people seems to fuel this kind of crap too.

In this thread alone theres like 3 or 4 posts that are actually about France's election.

two cents.

You're absolutely right, thanks for reminding me. It's one of my shortcomings that I struggle with. Which is why I apologized to the OP, but I would like to also apologize to the folks on this thread.
