WASHINGTON — Charges by the U.S. Treasury Department that a small bank in Macau knowingly laundered counterfeit U.S. currency on behalf of North Korea have no basis in fact, according to a confidential audit ordered by the government of the Chinese enclave.

A perfect example of why we can't take anything the government tells us at face value. We need to ask questions when they say Iran is training Iraqis on roadside bombs (see link).

The adminstration got away with it in the lead up to war with Iraq and they seem to be doing the same thing with Iran and N. Korea. If it ain't broke, why fix it.

Then, N. Korea backs off it's nuclear program and all of a sudden they slip this story into the news when it will go largely unoticed because of other major news (Va Tech shootings.)

Really Really fishy.
