I have now had a reply from the photographer who sent me an earlier response that he would check his records and get back to me. Here it is.

Checked records and you are correct, the date was wrong. Actual date is 14-07-82.

Sorry about causing the confusion. AB have been informed and details should be ammended shortly.

anyhow, the reason I have posted here again is that I have just finished reading Vulcan 607, as recommended by Richard Price earlier in the thread.

Fabulous book. Utterly enthralling. I think they ought to make a movie out it.

Although it doesn't specifically cover Vulcan tankers, it does make it self evident why there couldn't have been any Vulcan tankers in the Falklands war, simply too much effort was required to get the bombing raids on.
