I have heard that 50% of the population contracts cancer. However, the other day I heard that only 10 million Americans have cancer. So the figuires aren't adding up somewhere.

The numbers are fine.

1/2 the population will get cancer at some point in their lives.
That doesn't mean they will all get it at once.

I certainly hope I am not one of those. Although, since both of my parents died of cancer, I guess I am at risk. I try not to do things that tend to contribute to cancer but, I mean, we don't have a real understanding of what really causes it. We know some of the things that may contribute to it, but... that's not the same as knowing.

One of the things that may catch up with me in the long run is that I don't really eat as much as I should and when I do, it's not always the right stuff. I mean, I am 5'11 and stay between 145 and 155 pounds. You can probably tell by those numbers that I am not necessarily a big eater. I try and take vitamin supplements but there is some debate as to how much of these vitamins are absorbed into your system.
