can cause damage like that.
The reason NIST doesn't show it is because they want it to be further down. The collapse started from the base, not from halfway up the back side of
the building. So they moved it, deceptively, in their diagrams.
This is from Banker's Trust, similar damage from WTC2:
But nothing that would put the whole structure in a risk of falling straight down in a free-fall, or cause it to collapse
from the bottom,
obviously.
That's the problem, that's why NIST is trying to say all the damage was near the bottom.
