We live in dangerous times so sometimes its neccessary to assess our readiness to deal with an incident in our local area, we know theres advice from the DHS on what to do, but its not always realistic or implementable.

What i want to know is... how fast could YOU respond, and by respond i mean get out of the area for 2 days or so with selected members of your family.

I know its a tad tedious but exercises like these help us formulate a plan on what to do in an emergency, perhaps you can even learn things.

I think Me and My family are pretty prepared. I have many places I could go in case of an emergency.

Honestly, I have water for a couple days and lots of canned foods. But that isnt because of terror, I have always had supplies like that. As far as places to go are, I am sure if something serious enough happened it wouldnt be to hard to find someone to stay with, family or not. But I do have family spread out pretty far all over the country.

As for getting out of the area, I am fortunate in the fact that I live in the mountains and escape is just a matter of driving up the road about 2 miles and we are lost to civilization. We have the necessary supplies to survive a week easily.

I just hope it never comes to it.

I've responded to numerous threads about this, there are many more out there...

here are a few. Want nuclear war?

www.abovetopsecret.com...

how about a demonic apocolypse?

www.abovetopsecret.com...

then there is the place all ATS members will be going...

www.abovetopsecret.com...

But, for repetative sake, I'll just say I'm ready.

Within 30 min. (Provided my wife was not at work. If she was bump it up to an hour.) I could be on my way to a destination 647 miles away, where I could basically start over very easily within a couple of weeks.
