I was wondering if there is any database or has been any examination of the frequency of sightings for unexplained objects.

Do most happen at night? Twilight? Full sun?

Hi there aaaaaaaaaa,

Lots of places to find the information you seek. Here's a good place to start at least for North American sightings. Hope this helps.

That's an excellent question, but there is so much noise in the "sightings" category that it might be useful to stick to investigated sightings that can be placed on a Probability/Strangeness matrix. Even a cursory investigation will drop more than 50% of the sightings in the lower left hand corner of said matrix.

My guess is that the upper right hand corner will lean toward the daytime sightings, since more more people are out and about during the day, but that is just a guess.
