Montrose - Bad Motor Scooter, with a young Sammy Hagar. Ronnie is a great guitarist, and apparently had the ego to go with it.

Montrose - LIVE - Paper Money (Midnight Special 1975 USA)

And the indominatable Ted Nugent,

I'm gonna go aaaaaall the way back to 1970... A band called The Incredible String Band. They played at the '69 Woodstock Festival, but they never made it to the movie. I'm sorry 'bout the video, but it was the only video available on YouTube for this song...
"Something to blow your mind away"

The Incredible String Band - The Juggler's Song (1970)

The Juggler's Song (lyrics)

Gather round friends and I'll show you what I made
Something in my bag that'll surprise you all
It's a secret, don't push, I'm not ready
Something to dazzle your eyes -oo-

Something to blow your mind away
Something that I made today

The first little ball is red and green
Oh, it's pretty
Yes I know what you mean
I call it substance, do dio do
And what it will do I just don't know

But the trees may whisper and the hills may grow
While it's changing

The first and only juggler, Oh I must be the best
I love to see the rings spin, never at rest
Up in the air and back to me
What it will do I just can't see

Something to blow your mind away
Something that I made today

The next little ball is silver and black
See it chase the first one forward and back
I call it space, do dio dio dio
What it will do I just don't know

But it seems to make a difference just to have it so
While it's changing

The next little ball is too hot to hold
I have to keep tossing it and I hope it gets cold
I call it powerrrr do dio do
What it will do I just don't know

But it seems to make the whole thing...(*?*)
rattle and go
While it's changing

The first and only juggler, and I must be the best
I love to see the rings spin, never at rest
Up in the air and back to me
And what it will do I just can't see

Something to blow your mind away
Something that I made today

The next little ball is orange and blue
I can't juggle four so I'll toss it to you
And I call it time....

Excellent! Thanks for the SAHB's. I actually posted one here, but it was the Boston Tea Party. None of these have been posted yet

Thanks Hellmutt, they were an awesome band, i'm just ticked that i never had a chance to see them play, they were supposed to be even better live.

Any chance artists from
the seventies were just a little bit different to other decades?

Wayne/Jayne County & The Electric Chairs - I had too much to dream last night.

You know i see bands now trying to shock and be different but lets face it, it's all been done, and usually better.

I don't know how the kids today can afford to see anyone. I remember when $40 got you in and a t-shirt.

Their Parents work lots of overtime!!

I remember paying $12 to see Iron Maiden.
$38 to see Queen at the Sydney entertainment centre on their last time in OZ with Freddie.

$55 to see Flotsam Jetsam and Metallica. That show went for about 3 and 1/2 hrs. :bnghd:
So many more up until about 10 years ago before prices went through the roof.
