HAMPTON BAYS, N.Y. - An elderly man's body was found in his home more than a year after his death, with the television still on and his features mummified thanks to the dry atmosphere inside the home, the medical examiner's office said.

Does anyone else find it sad that a man can go a year unnoticed?

It is sad.
Though, if not for my wife and the people I work with, the same would happen to me.

I'm surprised his power was still on. If I went a year without paying bills, not only would I be homeless...but I'd have no power, water, etc.

Haha, I feel bad laughing.

His bills were probably on autopay with his bank account. They let customers do that around here. And if he had retirement/income auto deposited, it would have kept up indefinately.
