This is a long while after the fact- But consider that elephants share a rather deep intelligence- What of the wooly mammoth- perhaps it had the intelligence of an orangutan or ape. Elephants are rather slow moving and can be extremely peaceful in their envornment. Socially similar to apes living in tribes with a definate dominant king. Would we get a better understanding of the archetypal personality of these beautiful beings. Perhaps they peacefully nested with each one another speaking to each other with subterrainian low frequency songs.
