What will the verdict be?

saddam is guilty and they should skin him and make a coat out of him and give the coat to Pres Bush for his birthday.

As far as S.H. I still think we should leave it up to the Iraqi people to do as they wish with him. I, personally, don't care what they do as long as he can never take another position of power over anyone.

Boy, that sounds more like occupation than salvation. I think we have enough problems with the land we have already, let's not take anymore.

I know that they say that the Iraqi people will try him, but that leaves open the possiblity of them letting him go (as slim as that chance may be, I don't really know).

I am pretty sure that no matter what, the trial is for the world theater's benifit rather than Iraq's, so I am sure that we will get what we want one way or the other.

There really IS no option but death for Saddam.

What should the verdict be? First off, it's guilty. Guilty of mass murder, and non-compliance with UN resolutions.

The punishment? For what he has done, he deserves death. But that would make him a martyr, and we don't want that. He cannot be killed by the enemy, he must be either imprisoned for life, or given to his own people to do as they wish. We cannot make a martyr for their jihad, it would just cause more pointless deaths.
