Presidential Rating

I won't argue with you that he isn't doing a great job...at least...at the very least...we weren't bombed by terrorists since Sept. 11, and we have Saddam.

But that is not to say that I don't like Bush. I do, I think he is doing alright but do you think that the decision for war was the best possible option?

1, because if you listen to him long enough you actually believe he isn't the devil--just sick

1, because for his leadership (I heard Sharon's speech and I know that was all Bush--he gets this point for being the first president to stand up for a two state solution in the mideast conflict)

1, the tax cuts (he almost didn't get this one because of war and defense spending)

Well, can we please get back to the ratings on Bush?

Anyways, I am just wondering why the majority of people here gave the President a rating of under 5?

Well it's probably because most of us DONT like Bush...I don't hate him but he surely isn't my favorite president. :shk:

Bush Rating:
Domestic (economy,etc)... 4 or 5 and coming up slow.
Foreign... 0 (Hey George... just a reminder, you are president, not Rumsfeld)
The War... 6 or 7

As much as I don't particularly care for Bush - I think Al Gore would have been even more of a tragedy for the US.
After 9-11 he probably would have grown a beard and gone into hiding for a few months... seems to be his MO.

I believe Gore is truly mentally unstable... had no business dividing the democratic party as he did with his early endorsement of Dean... (Division between the Dean/Gore left and the Clintonian moderates)
This is giving the republican party lots of ammunition for the 2004 election...

Bush gets a -1. I still fail in his understanding his reasoning about attacking Iraq instead of going after Al-quaida. The day gas becomes cheaper is the day Bush gets a 0 rating from me.

I give Bush an 8. He is doing the best that any man could do with the inherited economic and terrorist nightmare's he was dealt in January 2001. Saddamn is gone, al-Qaeda has no training camps, and Osama is on the run. Let's not mention the economic jumps that are the best in 14 years. And whether Bush-haters want to acknowledge it or not, Dubya will be in office next time around, and he will put the clamp down on the current situation.

The Bush-haters just have a hard time comprehending a Republican President making # smell like bad cheese. Of course it could smell like roses, but no one's perfect.
