Sabotage on a power plant in Puerto Rico. Fbi, Homeland Security and National Guard troops took over all the power plants in the island..

Investigators of the Department of Internal Security of the United States (Homeland Security) took control from the scene of the fire that caused serious damages to the thermoelectrial Palo Seco power station in Cataño and the Authority of electric energy (AEE) suspects form leaves from a sequence of acts of sabotage against the electrical system, it indicated yesterday the executive director of the AEE, Edwin Rivera.

Officials of the Police and the Body of Firemen participate in the search next to the federal agencies, that include to FBI and the Negotiated one of Alcohol, Tobacco and Arms of Fuego (ATF). Governor Aníbal Acevedo Vilá informed that FBI brought from the United States to four expert agents in these incidents so that they cooperate with the search.

The fire of Saturday in Palo Seco inflict casualties that the authorities consider between $50 million and $100 million, removed from operation to the plant by at least six months and forced the AEE to provide electricity to the North region from the south of the Island.

Now all of the power plants are under security with armed guards from homeland security and the national guard. There's not any reason at this moment for the workers of the electric company to do this, there is no strike or anything at the moment. $50 to $100 million is a lot in damage. I hope it was only a mechanical failure and not sabotage because the security in those power plants is very weak and old, another one of this and the island will be without power.
