Former Manchester United striker Diego Forlan was the hat-trick hero for Villarreal as they picked up a point in an entertaining 3-3 draw with
newly-crowned champions Barcelona at the Nou Camp.
The Uruguayan moved within one goal of the Primera Liga's top scorer Samuel Eto'o, who has 24.
Forlan struck after 16 and 29 minutes, the latter from the penalty spot, before Barca hit back through Ronaldinho four minutes later and a brace from
Ludovic Giuly either side of half-time.
Forlan completed the scoring midway through the second period to earn the visitors a share of the spoils.
Real Mallorca go into the last game of the season at home to Real Betis with their destiny in their own hands after Sunday's 3-0 win over Deportivo La
Coruna saw them move above Levante and out of the relegation zone.
First-half goals by Francisco Farinos and Juan Arango gave Hector Cuper's men the advantage before Yo#o Okubo put the result beyond doubt just after
the hour mark to extend Mallorca's unbeaten record to seven games.
They now leapfrog Levante who were held to a 0-0 draw with Valencia in the city derby - a stalemate that could next week condemn Levante to the
Segunda Division.
Levante face a tough final fixture at Champions League-chasing Villarreal but must hope Mallorca slip up at home to Real Betis.
However if Levante draw and finish level with Mallorca, who are a point ahead, they would stay up as they have a better head-to-head record against
Hector Cuper's men.
