Wounded champions Celtic took their latest European disappointment out on Livingston with a rampant first-half display at Almondvale.
Celtic produced arguably their best 45 minutes in some time with Stilian Petrov, Henri Camara, John Hartson and Chris Sutton all hitting the back of
the net. The Parkhead injury jinx struck again by claiming on-loan striker Camara, young defender Stephen McManus and Stanislav Varga to take some of
the sparkle off Celtic's afternoon. Burton O'Brien gave Allan Preston scant consolation with a delightful double for Livi but, on this performance, it
was no surprise that the home side had failed to beat Celtic on 13 previous occasions.
A last-minute equaliser from Barry Robson gave Dundee United an unexpected point in a 1-1 draw at Rangers. 'Gers are now seven points behind
neighbours Celtic even though Nacho Novo's 69th-minute strike had seemed to be enough for the home side. But Robson had the last word with a
sweetly-struck free-kick.
Patrick Kisnorbo and Joe Hamill struck a goal apiece to give Hearts a 2-1 win over Hibernian in the Edinburgh derby at Tynecastle. Kisnorbo gave the
Jambos a half-time lead with a powerful volley in the 15th minute. Then, just a minute after arriving as a substitute, Ramon Pereira set up Hamill for
the second in the 76th minute. Derek Riordan hit a consolation for the visitors with a tremendous 20-yard volley in the final minute.
