Leslie Law added individual silver to team bronze as Great Britain's three-day eventers weighed in with two medals on a dramatic night at the
Markopoulo Equestrian Centre.
Law's clear round briefly put him in the gold medal position but he was overhauled by British-based German Bettina Hoy.
Law, fearing he would drop to bronze, had an anxious wait while Nicolas Touzaint had his final round in which he hit a host of fences and slipped from
potential gold medallist to ninth place.
Pippa Funnell had also looked like a medal prospect too until she dislodged a fence in her final round.
Law produced a faultless clear round under the floodlight arena and punched the air after clearing the final jump, much to the delight of the
considerable British support inside the stadium.
