Nashville, TN (Sports Network) - The Nashville Predators Tuesday announced the signing of forward Steve Sullivan. As per team policy, terms of the
deal were not disclosed.
The 30-year-old Sullivan was instrumental in Nashville's first-ever run to the postseason during the 2003-04 campaign, the franchise's sixth season in
existence. He was traded to the Predators last year after spending time with the Chicago Blackhawks.
Sullivan, a native of Timmons, Ontario, made his first impression on Nashville fans a memorable one when he posted a hat trick in his initial game
with the Predators on February 18. His efforts earned him NHL offensive player of the week honors from February 16-22.
For the season, Sullivan tallied 73 points on 24 goals and 49 assists in 80 games with Chicago and Nashville. Sullivan is an eight-year NHL veteran.
He was a ninth round draft choice of the New Jersey Devils in 1994 and also spent parts of four seasons with the Toronto Maple Leafs.
