WBU cruiserweight champion Enzo Maccarinelli will make the fifth defence of his title at the Newport Sports Centre on Friday, 3 September.
The 23-year-old's opponent has yet to be named, but it could be European champion Vincenzo Cantatore of Italy.
The Swansea fighter is still pursuing WBO champion Johnny Nelson, who makes a mandatory defence against Rudiger May in Dusseldorf on 4 September.
If both champions win, a match-up could be arranged in December.
"I'm gunning for Nelson," said Maccarinelli. "In my eyes he's the best in the division and I admire him, but we are in the business of proving who is
the best.
"I will be looking to knock out whoever is put in front of me on 3 September and then get it on with Nelson."
Promoter Frank Warren added: "You've got Enzo and Johnny, two of the best cruiserweights in the world, fighting on consecutive nights and if both win
it will set up a massive fight later in the year."
