BUENOS AIRES, Argentina -- French Open champion Anastasia Myskina beat Gisela Dulko 6-1, 7-5 Sunday to help Russia clinch a Fed Cup semifinal berth by
eliminating Argentina.
Myskina's victory and Vera Zvonareva's 6-3, 6-0 victory over Mariana Diaz Oliva gave Russia a 3-1 lead in the best-of-5 quarterfinal.
Also reaching the semifinals were Austria, which upset the United States, and France. Belgium led Spain in the other quarterfinal.
Russia never has won the Fed Cup, but three of the women on its team are ranked in the top 15.
