DENVER -- More than a half-dozen University of Colorado football players appeared Friday before a grand jury investigating the program's recruiting
scandal.
Among them was linebacker Chris Hollis of Denver, who was suspended in February for taking a recruit to a strip club. None of the eight players would
discuss the substance of their testimony.
"Well, we can talk about football," cornerback Vance Washington of Friendswood, Texas, told reporters outside the room where the grand jury met for
about 4½ hours.
Attorney General Ken Salazar has been investigating whether criminal charges are warranted over alleged misconduct in the football program, including
allegations that sex, drugs and alcohol were used to lure recruits.
