Kostya Tszyu has been stripped of his WBA light welterweight title for failing to make a mandatory defence within the stipulated time.
Tszyu, who also holds the IBF and WBC belts, has been injured since January 2003 and is scheduled to face IBF interim champion Sharmba Mitchell
next.
Guyana's Vivian Harris becomes the sole 140lb WBA titlist although Tszyu can appeal against the decision.
Russian-Australian Tszyu, 34, has fought twice in the last 26 months.
