KANSAS CITY, Missouri (AP) - The Kansas City Chiefs on Friday signed quarterback Damon Huard to a two-year contract.
Financial terms were not disclosed.
Huard will battle with Todd Collins for the backup job behind starter Trent Green. The Chiefs have been shopping for a quarterback since losing
Jonathan Quinn, who signed with the Chicago Bears in March.
Huard, who turns 31 in July, has spent the last three years with the Patriots and appeared in just four games.
A product of NFL Europe, Huard played his first four years with the Miami Dolphins and was 4-1 as a starter in 1999.
