Tommy Haas continued his superb comeback run with victory over Andrei Pavel in the semi-finals of the US Clay Court Championships on Saturday.The unseeded German beat his Romanian opponent 6-4 6-7 (4-7) 6-4.

Haas will meet Andy Roddick in the final after the American beat Peru's Luis Horna 6-3 6-4. The hard-hitting Haas, who missed all of last season with a serious shoulder injury, has not reached a final since the 2002 Rome Masters. Reigning US Open champion, Roddick encountered little resistance from Horna and has now won 12 straight matches. The sequence stretches back to a victory at the Tennis Masters Series in Miami, where Roddick captured his third career Masters Series crown.
