Birmingham have
reportedly made a club record bid for PSV Eindhoven striker Mateja Kezman but are likely to face stiff competition to sign him.
Blues are facing an anxious wait before discovering if their offer believed to be in the region of 6.5m for the Serbia and Montenegro international
has been successful.PSV are ready to accept such a fee and a possible deal now rests on Kezman deciding if he wants to sign up at St Andrews and agree
personal terms.Blues are not the only side keen to sign Kezman, who is one of the hottest prospects on the continent. He has also attracted the
interest in the past of Liverpool and Barcelona. However, Steve Bruce wants to pair Kezman in attack with Mikael Forssell next season. The City chief
is also seeking to push through a deal with Chelsea to either sign Forssell for 5m or extend the loan of the 18 goal striker for another year.
