Shane Warne claimed another five-wicket haul
as Australia snatched a narrow 27-run victory in the second Test against Sri Lanka before lunch on the final day at Kandy. Also Warne secured his
eighth 10-wicket match haul and second in a row following his heroics in the first Test in Galle.
Sri Lanka resumed at 301 for seven, needing a further 51 to win, but they were bowled out for 324 as Warne grabbed two wickets and Jason Gillespie
weighed in with the other as the tourists claimed the three-match series.Sri Lanka's hopes rested with Chaminda Vaas who was 30 not out
overnight. However, after adding 15 quick runs, he pulled Warne straight to midwicket and Justin Langer completed the catch.Sri Lanka skipper Hashan
Tillakaratne later criticised Vaas for what he considered an unnecessarily risky approach.Warne now has 511 career wickets and is eight behind the
world record held by retired West Indies paceman Courtney Walsh, who took 519 wickets in 132 tests.
