Oakland Raiders finally got their man in Norv Turner as replacement for the fired Bill Callanhan. After a near month long search for a coach they
turned to Turner who for the last few seasons has been the defensive co-ordinator at the Miami Dolphins.
Turner former coach of the Washington Redskins from 1994-2000 met with raiders owner Al Davis last week and talks continued throughout the
weekend.Regarded as an offensive specialist, Turner posted a 50-60-1 record in Washington, leading the Redskins to the NFC East title in 1999.The
Raiders were the last of the NFL teams this winter to hire a replacement out of the teams which changed coaches.
