Dean Richards's agent has played down suggestions that his client is to be used in a proposed Tottenham bid for West Ham's Michael Carrick.

Richards was reported to have been offered to The Hammers by their London rivals Spurs.

However, Richards's representative Ian Elliott has dismissed suggestions that the defender is set to leave.
