Manchester United: Rooney to be unleashed

Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson has confirmed he is willing to play Wayne Rooney at Everton but he has more striking options at his disposal than at any other point in 2005.

The United boss is able to call upon Ruud van Nistelrooy, Alan Smith, Louis Saha and Rooney and has a wealth of talent available for the FA Cup fifth round trip to Goodison Park.

"It's fantastic to have all three of them back," he said, referring to van Nistelrooy, Smith and Saha.
