Manchester City goalkeeper David James has a clause in his contract which could see him end his career at the club.

The former Liverpool custodian has agreed a deal with City which will see his stay at the club extended every year as long as he makes enough appearances each season.

James's agent Colin Gordon revealed the arrangement could see the England international end his career at City.

hehe...

i think under Pearce city are going to improve, i think they started getting points when he took over.

and cos of that James wont want to leave,

strange clause though, hes going to be first choice so getting games aint going to be a problem for him getting his contract renewed.

is it incase a new manager comes in and he aint first choice? that way its easy to leave?

Sir

As long as James is in goal they will let quite a few in...

Yea, as long as City hang on to the players they have, they will do ok.

City had a great defensive record for them in recent years and with earce as manager him being a defender would want to build on that, keeping James is a good signing and he deserves to stay there

that is a good way to think of, maybe Pearce will knock some more consiistency into James'es game.

and to buy a good keeper is going to cost a fair bit
