Liverpool: Pongolle suffers bad injury

Liverpool's worst injury fears have been confirmed with the news that Florent Sinama-Pongolle has suffered a serious knee injury. The young Frenchman picked up the injury during Liverpool's Carling Cup win at Watford on Tuesday night. Sinama-Pongolle had to be carried off just minutes after coming off the bench for the closing stages of the game. Liverpool feared Sinama-Pongolle had sustained a serious injury and tests have now revealed he has suffered a cruciate ligament problem.
