There can be no consensus either way. The "special effects" guys commenting on it, for the most part, are very intrigued. One says in a snide manner than he has DONE better. Well, I can tell you many things in nature that probably wouldn't look natural if it had been the first time you saw on. Do platypuses look natural to you? Does that newly videoed little mouse thing with huge ears look real? Not really. I bet there are many FX people who could create very lifelike versions of them.

The truth is out there! I lean towards real. If it as fake i guess the makers of the video would have come forward with proof. When i look at the alien i get this weird feeling cant explain it.

It's real. People will decide for themselves, many will side with the hollywood effects specialists who admit that it looks real but is 'probably fake'. Others will give the video a fair shake, trust their gut instinct, and struggle to accept that the footage is authentic, because their senses tell them it is real.

Robert Dean is the real mccoy in my opinion, and his input on the footage was enough for me. The self-assured special effects directors know little to nothing of the situatoin the footage was shot in. Perhaps they believe that rogue teams of special effects artists have the funding and spare time to create these videos without ever coming forward to claim them - to this day, no individual has come forth to claim the right or to profit from this film, all of the credit is given to a man who's face and name we don't even know. Still - all of this is circumstantial - the footage itself is a real E.T. and people understand this the second they see it - the deciding factor is whether we will deny or accept the footage as authentic.

You know what I find amusing?

The jabroni that said on the documentary "its a fake and we can do better" has yet to step forward and produce a better fake. Its been over 10 years since the documentary, so he cant say he hasnt had time?

Well?

I doubt anyone knows what a real extraterrestrial looks like (if you believe there is life elsewhere in the universe), but that alien is the common "gray" that's often shown in the mass media, by "abduction victims", etc.

Rick Baker said he could do a better job creating the alien because there's too many problems with the video:

1. The lighting: why in the hell is homeboy (the alien) sitting in the dark? The video was supposedly government archival footage, and this interview was supposedly one of the later ones done, why was no light amplification used? Even if they were respecting the health of the alien and his sensitivity to light, there's no reason they wouldn't be able to light the room anyway. Let alone the medics have no problem with shining flashlights directly into his eyes.

2. Homeboy moves like a puppet, especially when the alien is in obvious distress, the head bounces and bobbles like there's a hand controlling it.

3. No audio? "Victor" says he erased the audio track to protect "the innocent" person in the video. Whoever was working at Area 51 the day during the interview would coincide with the time stamp in the video. Whoever is responsible for securing those videos would be able to tell when it was made. So what was Victor's point for removing the audio again?

4. Suppoedly there is a military "general" and a telepathic aide there to communicate with the alien. I don't have a problem with him per say, so much as he's barely visible in the video. Again, thank the great lighting.

"Victor" says the research staff at Area 51 are a bunch of elitists who have a hard time getting over they are mere primates compared to this creature. Whatever. The kinds of people who would be recruited to work at Area 51 (doctorates mostly) would certainly have an ego or two among them, but "Victor" made the blind statement that all the researchers were like that. Surely, after 50 years of talking to these creatures, there would be some sort of protocol worked out how to talk to them (beyond just, you know, whinging it with a "telepath"...).

Jeez, I guess I put more analysis into this fake than was obviously needed. That, or I've lost my imagination. But come on, when someone can't see how this can be faked, something's wrong.

[edit on 29-5-2007 by Sendai]

1. The medics are not shining the flashlights into the things eyes directly but they're checking around his eyes and in its nose for hemorrhaging. At least according to Victor.

2. The reason homeboys head is moving and bobbing in such a fashion is because its neck doesn't connect to the base of its skull like out heads would. It's necks sits in the center, which in its weakened state accounts for the puppet like bobbing.

3. You can not clearly see any ones faces in the video. Victor explains that no one there except for him self was aware that he smuggled the video out of the base, and that cutting the audio is a precaution to not get any one else in trouble.

Actually there supposedly is more to it then just winging it with a telepath. According to the documentary back in the late 40's an et that was dubbed EBE-1 was communicated with via telepath and a language of glyphs that was created by the people studying it.
Also, with all of the money dumped into black projects for telepathic research between the 50's and the 90s, whose to say that the military telepaths arent real??

My personal opinion is that its genuine. Like everything else about ufos the evidence seems to be hidden in plain sight and left for the individuals to decide. If you really want to read some interesting stuff do a google search of Majestic 12. It sheds a little light on dreamland and why i think that there will never be full disclosure by the US until a catastrophic, undeniable event takes place in the States.

To finish up, I think that just because some hoity-toity Hollywood special fx guy thinks its fake every one jumps on that band wagon. What were you people expecting? a high budget movie quality alien??? This is a military documentation video, not a cinematic movie. In my opinion its real.

Sorry for the big quote above

In my personal opinion it's real, it had a fundemental effect on me when I saw it, I was awe-struck and all I wanted to do was deny it, this to me told me it's real and that I may have some sort of memory of such a creature.

Whitley Strieber was struck by the way it moved, CSM Robert Dean seemed convinced this was one of the creatures he encountered too, the hollywood FX 'experts' simply could not make the distinction that it's fake, as a matter of fact one was stumped on how they made it move a certain way now and then.

This may be one of the very scarce genuine pieces of footage ladies and gentlemen.

I think the fact that no one has come up, saying they particpated in the making of this after 10 years adds to the credibility factor. That is just me however, I think this video is just amazing(unlike
Alien Autopsy, the piece of # hoax).

Isn't this documentary also on DVD/VHS by the way?

Just watched the whole hour or so video/documentary.

At the end it says that he was paid for the tape. (He asked to be paid for it.)
While this may not mean anything by itself, you have to remember he does not want his identity known.

Well, cut a check, tax, etc. - anything where they would need to know his name would lead the government to easily finding out who he is by merely questioning the studio that bought it from him.

So in that light it would seem this would be the 'evidence' for it to be a fake.
Again, you would have to watch how he ran out the room just for basic questions that seemed to 'threaten' his identity - yet he ask for money.

You could say they gave him cash, but its on video...you can bet the I.R.S. will want a piece of that action, meaning that he can be traced. Point is, either he was scared for his identity or not...the fact that he asked for money for it and got paid, kind of fishy.

I will say this...
If it is real, it probably is some human hybrid our government created.
Scientist already clone animal/human hybrids. (of course, they claim, they are not brought to term), so only god knows what they have.

If its head truly is unstable, by the nature of its design as described...then its not more advanced...(you would think they would have genetically solved this), the instability would go to prove the theory that we are indeed playing 'god' and coming up with some 'creatures' per-say, and by the looks of it acting 'inhumane' to our experiments.

But then again, I suppose they would be as detached to it as they would any lab test rat. This would not sit well with most people, but most people are not the ones in the labs creating such experiments - if you know what I mean.

Peace

When I first saw the 30 second clip I thought FAKE..but several days later I stumbled across the whole clip and that was no head bobbing up and down on a stick. Confirmed by the fact the full clip shows a torso.

He was being interrogated. Such environment is dark and intimidating and eliminates any humans being caught on film. Hey, even a bare hand can be analyzed to confirm someone’s identity.
Greys don’t have facial expression so his mouth would naturally be about the only thing moving on his face. They are void of feelings and emotions. They are very calm and collected therefore.
If this was EB, the first captive gray, he communicated by means of a crystal and a translator. It was over a year before he started to reluctantly communicate. He was also quite ill.
If the clip was of EBE it would have been taken sometime between 1947-51 I think. Look at any footage of that time and it was pretty lousy quality. This video showed the same lack of quality. In fact I would be suspicious if it had been a good quality take, as it would conflict with the other military videos. www.youtube.com... link to debriefing by William Cooper regarding EBE the first captured gray. Even if this clip of a chocking EBE is fake, what Cooper says confirms that US has aliens both alive and dead in their hands along with their space craft. Again, note the atrocious quality of the William Cooper press thing, but it is him.
www.youtube.com... This is a link to the interigation video on YouTube 3 minutes.
I recommend seeing the three hour documentary OFOS and COSMIC DIMENSIONS. Made in 1999 I think, but has been released to video store 2008. Interviews with astronauts, scientists, pilots and so forth with their first hand interaction with UFOs and EBE is mentioned regarding his communication method.
If footage is lousy people shout fake. If it is good quality they also shout fake. Thing is, there is now enough evidence for those who want to see the truth that the grays and others are here and have been for some very long time.

I also just finished watching the entire special that was made around the interview: video.google.com...

Real or fake the overdub 'explanation(s)' given by 'Victor' seem to be pretty sound & logical. ("The medical personal at S4 are less than first rate - they tend to be selected for their willingness to keep secrets rather than their medical competence")

seen that one before, too.

It exhbits the same characteristics that are criticized in the other one:
- dark
- doesn't move anything other than head
- doesn't really show anything other than head, either.
- poor video qulaity

- the blinking eyes and sound are of some interest.

I thought that video two posts above was unequivocally a fake. Wasnt it some Brazilians special effects project or something? I am sure i saw it debunked on this very website. I might try to find the post.
