Bolton Wanderers are believed to be interested in bringing Spanish striker Salva Ballesta back to The Reebok.

The Valencia marksman spent time with The Trotters on loan in January 2003 and Sam Allardyce would like him back.

Salva banged in 19 goals whilst on loan at Malaga last term, but he has no future at Valencia and is due to leave.

New Mestalla boss Claudio Ranieri does not see Salva in his plans for the coming season and both Malaga and Monaco have been looking to sign him.

The Spaniards have been favourites for the proven goalscoring talent, but interest from England has emerged.
