Aston Villa: Villa prepare Yakubu bid

Aston Villa are ready to bid 8million for Portsmouth striker Aiyegbeni Yakubu. Pompey boss Velimir Zajec has already stated the club would let the 11-goal forward leave if they received a good offer. And the Nigerian international took the unusual step of revealing to Sky Sports News on Tuesday that he is ready to quit Fratton Park.

i think if they come in with that bid, its really going to test pompey. can they refuse that sorta money? i think they would rather wait to the summer, why lose there best player at this period
