Arsenal: Gunners eye Italian starlet

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger looks set to add to his collection of young talent with the acquisition of Raffaele De Martino. The Roma youth player is regarded to be a prospect of considerable potential and it would be a noticeable coup if Arsenal do indeed clinch his signature. Talk in Italy suggests a move is imminent, with De Martino having recently withdrawn from an international youth tournament after claiming he was ill.

hehe. it sounds like its saying he pulled a sicky to get a move lol. i guess they are hoping he turns out as big as totti or cassano. not sure if he plays in a similar position though.

The 18-year-old has moved to Swiss side Bellinzona, penning a deal to keep him at the side until 2010.

Premiership champions Arsenal had are thought to have been interested in the talented youngster, who has played in the UEFA Champions League for Roma.
