One doesn't typically go to work the day they commit suicide...

Not to mention, with a hollow point, the first sign he was dead, would have been the absense of his HEAD!!!

Nor was his weapon mentioned to have a silencer (which it obviously woundn't for guard duty)...

I'd check both guards (the dead one, and the sleeping beauty), for drugs, as they were likely drugged, it didn't work on one...so he was taken out via a silenced pistol...
