Newcastle United: Souness eyes Dutch stars

Graeme Souness was one of a big Newcastle party which attended Feyenoord's clash with AZ Alkmaar on Sunday. Souness, who was accompanied by Dean Saunders and chief scout Ray Clarke at De Kuip, was keen to check on a potential signing himself. The Dutch media insists that Souness's visit was to check on striker Dirk Kuyt. The Feyenoord star has been hugely impressive since moving to Rotterdam from Utrecht and has only recently penned a new four-year deal. However, despite the new contract Newcastle are still thought to be keen.

I don't think he will be signing that many foreign players. After a poor season, Souness has it all to do to be honest.
