Goalkeeper Shaka Hislop is convinced Portsmouth have turned the corner - on and off the pitch.

A raft of injuries have made life difficult for Pompey in the early stages of the season but Hislop believes a semblance of normality has finally been restored at Fratton Park.

He told the club's official website: "Only a few weeks ago the squad was looking desperately weak, but a lot of players have come back from injury, a couple of signing have added to the quality and the strength of the squad, so it's looking much better than it was."

Shame we let him go, good keeper.

Hislop has always been a good keeper, i never understood why he went...

They had some bad injuries last season and looked like they was in for the drop, but when they got the players back they played some great football and turned it around. I expect them to do the same this season...
