Middlesbrough have handed former Everton midfielder Alex Nyarko a route back into English football. The Ghana international has been without a club
since leaving The Toffees back in June when the player was refused a new work permit to see out the final year of his contract at Goodison Park.
Soon after leaving Everton, the African was linked with a move to Switzerland with Grasshopper Zurich, but that did not come to fruition. The
31-year-old has now taken the chance to try his luck with Steve McClaren's side and the former Lens player may prove to be an ideal replacement for
the injured George Boateng.
The Dutchman is currently sidelined after breaking his toe in the 3-0 win over Aston Villa earlier this month.
