Philippe Mexes accepts he is satisfied with his six-week suspension following his controversial move to Roma from Auxerre last summer. The France
international joined the Italian outfit despite Auxerre's unwillingness to let him leave the club. Though Mexes signed a contract with Roma, Auxerre
called for the footballing authorities to ban the defender for four months. A ruling has now decided Mexes must serve a six-week suspension, with the
centre half glad the saga has reached a conclusion.
