Coca-Cola Divisions: Sunderland sign Daryl Murphy

Sunderland have made Daryl Murphy their first signing of the summer. The Black Cats have been chasing the Waterford star for some time and have beaten off competition from several clubs for his signature.

The former Republic of Ireland Under-21 international has signed a two-year deal at The Stadium of Light. Sunderland boss Mick McCarthy was delighted to make Murphy his first signing of the summer.

I havent heard of this guy, he plays in Ireland before right? Is he going to be able to cut it attop level. Im guessing time will tell but he could be a major suprise

i dont know this guy either, am guessing Mick has contacts in Ireland telling him about good lil players and this guys name has proped up.

it says hes a big powerfull forward, a target man so does this mean Sunderland are taking route one and going to do the long ball?

i dont think hes going to be any huge sucess though to be honest.
