Luis Fernandez has revealed he had contact with West Brom before Bryan Robson was appointed as Gary Megson's replacement at The Hawthorns.
The former Paris Saint Germain coach is in no rush to find a new job but did consider a surprise switch to the Black Country.
"In France, I am attracted by one or two clubs," he told France Football. "Not more.
"I would appreciate England.
"I had contact with West Bromwich, but I did not progress it. Spain, of course, too."
Fernandez, a member of France's great 1984 European Championship-winning side, has also coached the likes of Espanyol and Athletic Bilbao during his
managerial career.
