Crystal Palace have allowed young defender Sam Togwell to join League Two outfit Oxford United on a month's loan.

The 20-year-old, who can play at either centre-back or right-back, has not featured for the Eagles first team this season and joins the U's to gain much-needed experience.

Togwell has made just one senior appearance for Palace, that coming nearly two years ago in a 3-1 victory at Rotherham United.
