by Paul Upham: News from Denmark that WBA No.1 Mads Larsen is out with injury and will be replaced by promotional stable-mate WBA No.3 Mikkel Kessler in challenging WBA super middleweight champion Manny Siaca on November 12, raised some eyebrows in Australia on Thursday.

For WBC Interim super middleweight champion Danny Green, it was the final confirmation, if any were needed, that his next fight would be a rematch with WBC champion Markus Beyer. 25 year-old Kessler had been directed by the WBC to face Green in Perth on December 12, but declined. His promoter Mogens Palle claiming some inconsistencies with the WBC purse bid. 31 year-old Green was unconcerned that Kessler has gone from pulling out of a tough WBC eliminator in a foreign land to getting a crack at the WBA title in his home country.
