By Anthony Evans: The biggest fight in the light heavyweight division - between Roy Jones's conquerors Antonio Tarver pic by Tom Hogan
v Glen Johnson - could be signed over the weekend for December 18 at the Staples Center in Los Angeles. The deal tabled has Joe DeGuardia promoting and HBO screening live alongside a re-run of the previous week's Klitschko v Williams pay-per-view heavyweight title fight.
"It is something we're hoping for but it isn't a done deal yet," Johnson's manager Henry Foster told SecondsOut on Wednesday morning. "We've wanted the Tarver fight as soon as Glen laid out Roy Jones in September in Memphis but, you know boxing, until there's a press conference officially announcing it or a signed contract then it just isn't done."
