Bradford's European champion Junior Witter has revealed his frustration at light-welterweight rival Ricky Hatton's reluctance to meet him in the ring for a domestic showdown.

The British, Commonwealth and European champion has made no secret of his desire for a fight with his more illustrious rival.

However, despite many boxing purists being keen to see Hatton prove himself as the best at his weight in England before taking on more high-profile opposition, Mancunian Hatton has never given him the opportunity.

Witter, 30, added the European crown to his collection of belts with an impressive second-round knockout of Italian Salvatore Battaglia to claim the vacant title in June.
