Boxing: Date set for Barrera vs Morales rubber match

The rubber match between Mexican boxing icons Marco Antonio Barrera and Erik Morales will take place at the MGM Grand Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada on November 27.

A spokesman for promoters Top Rank confirmed the date in an email to SecondsOut earlier today. The bout takes place at 130lbs for Morales' IBF and WBC super-featherweight crowns.

Morales won the first encounter for the WBC and WBO super-bantamweight titles by split decision in February 2000 but Barrera won the return for the WBC featherweight crown on points June 2002.
