Boxing: HATTON OFF THE LEASH AT LAST

Ricky Hatton finally got what he wanted this week - a legitimate world light-welterweight title fight.

The unbeaten Hatton had grown restless beating up a series of fringe contenders and reportedly handed his promoter Frank Warren an ultimatum.

Now Warren has delivered a deal for Hatton to challenge WBA champion Vivian Harris at the MEN Arena in Manchester.

Hatton has won all 36 of his professional fights so far but for all his undoubted talent and box office appeal can only boast the worthless WBU belt for his troubles.
