Boxing: ELDER DECISIONS TREJO

The July 9, ESPN FNF edition from Atlanta, Georgia cooked up some spirited club fight action that saw popular local lightweight Ebo Elder (20-1, 13 KOs) getting the nod over visitor Fernando Trejo (24-8-4,15 KOs) following ten rounds of interesting give and take.

It was Elder entertaining the hometown cheerleaders that introduced to the TV viewers an ongoing chant of "Ebo, Ebo," in support of its 25 year old punching machine … could well have influenced the scoring that went unanimous Elder 100-90, 100-90, 99-91.

For what it’s worth, my unofficial had Elder 96-94 in points and 6-4 under the yesteryear round by round method.
