Kevin McBride who was originally booked to face Mike Tyson on July 30th, will now get a shot for the WBA international heavyweight title when he face Nicolay "Beast From The East" Valuev on July 24, 2004.

Valuev has been labeled as the second coming of the Klitschko brothers. Coming out St. Petersburg Russia, the 30 year old heavyweight has compiled an unblemished record of 36-0 with 27 wins by way of knock out. The man stands at a near 7 feet in height and weighs around 323 pounds, mostly muscle. The fight will take place in Germany.

American based Irishman Kevin McBride, who was to have faced Mike Tyson before being dumped in favour of Danny Williams, will now face unbeaten 'Beast form the East' Nicolay Valuev.. The bout will take place in Frankfurt, Germany on July 24.

Valuev, who at nearly 7ft, is the world tallest boxer and possesses an unbeaten 37 fight record with 26 stoppages.

KEVIN McBride will challenge for the WBA international heavyweight title on July 24.

McBride was gutted after missing out on his clash with Mike Tyson, which was set for a week later in Nashville but agent Kevin Dever has clinched him a deal to meet unbeaten 'Beast From The East' Nicolay Valuev in Frankfurt.

"The deal has been agreed with Valuev's promoters Sauerland Promotions and it's a great chance for Kevin because this guy is highly ranked in the world," said Dever.
